I havn’t read this particular book myself, The Female Body Blueprint: A Guide to Understanding Hormones and Thyroid Health [Kindle Edition] but notice today that it is free to download on Kindle. Its a good opportunity to explore this area. Our endocrine system can be under a lot of pressure due to the way we live. Our food is genetically modified, the meat we eat is from animals that have been fed artificial hormones, even our household cleaning products and the creams we put on our skin have endocrine disruptors contained in them. Feels like the odds are stacked against us…..
Moving to ways of minimising this can be be such a nourishing way to take care of yourself, a first remedy. Supporting your local healthfood store for a start (shout out to the wonderful Hopsack in Rathmines!) where you can buy organic non modified vegetables, look for cleaning products without harsh chemicals and endocrine disruptors, and skin care that is paraben free.
All these efforts plus actively reducing stress can bring a systemic wellbeing, the foundation for a healthy body, mind, spirit and thriving life.
